📈 Dynamics 365 Business Central Licensing Pricing Updates
Microsoft released an announcement regarding the increase in pricing for Dynamics 365 Business Central starting on October 1, 2025.
D365 Business Central Essentials License
Before: $70/mo with 2GB storage
After: $80/mo with 3GB storage
D365 Business Central Premium License
Before: $100/mo with 3GB storage
After: $110/mo with 5GB storage
D365 Business Central Device License
Before: $40/mo with 1GB storage
After: $45/mo with 1.5GB storage
D365 Business Central Team Member License
Same: $8/Mo
Expert Tip: Jeffrey DeMaria , CEO of xMonthly, provided insights on the upcoming Microsoft Business Central pricing changes, advising partners to lock in the current lower pricing by purchasing at least one license by October 1st. Advise your clients to purchase at least one 3-year license right now to lock in and keep the license price lower for the next three years! Otherwise, the licensing price will increase by next renewal date.
Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains Licensing Updates ℹ️
Microsoft quietly made a significant update around Dynamics GP Subscription licenses and it may have flown under the radar. Here’s what you need to know:
You can still purchase a GP Subscription license through April 1, 2026.
Product support and updates for Dynamics GP will end on the December 31, 2029 (with security patches ending on April 30, 2031).
Starting April 30, 2031:
For perpetual license holders, there’s no change — but it does make you wonder about the impact on Microsoft's ERP product lifecycle overall. Microsoft is offering a variety of tools for partners to assist their clients in the migration from Dynamics GP to Dynamics 365 Business Central (or Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain), including funding from Microsoft’s AIM campaign.
